Pit Bull Attacks Miniature Pony
A central Florida girl had a huge scare when a stray Pit Bull attacked her miniature pony, according to a number of websites including CNN...
Destiny Russell's mini horse "Tinker" suffered a large gash on its neck that required stitches and its leg has several serious puncture wounds. However the pony is expected to live.
"It bit my pony bad. He hurt her. That dog is mean," Destiny was quoted as saying.
Her friend Cassidy Cornett was at the scene and bravely untied the pony during the attack.
"He just started attacking her... So I untied that so she could run and try to help herself." she said.
When Destiny's father heard the commotion, he grabbed a and started hitting the Pit Bull - needing many hits with the post before the dog finally released the pony.
Cassidy then locked the dog into a horse stall, "He was jumping up, trying to get out and he still had blood dripping out of its mouth."
Tinker is a little horse but she was a 'jumper' and now her future is unclear. The dog is the custody of animal control officers and may be destroyed...
